Wayback Wednesday | 90s Dance-Pop

Each week, I’m going to take you on a journey back into time where I’ll feature my Top 20 anthems from a specific music genre. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

This week’s #WaybackWednesday features some of the top dance-pop songs of the 90s that saw the continuation of teen pop and dance-pop trends that had emerged in the 70s and 80s. The Spice Girls broke into the US market becoming the most commercially successful British group in North America since The Beatles. The 90s also saw boy bands emerge with the New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, 98 Degrees, Hanson and a list of hit female artists Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, and Destiny’s Child.
