We live in a world today where Social Media is the starting point for several artists who have become world renowned. This is a story of a 25-year-old singer, songwriter, producer from New Jersey. Born, Louie Vigorito, his voice has spread across the US for just about a week now. Thanks to #TikTok’s incredibly fast speed sharing, his song “I Used to Care” claimed the No.1 spot on Spotify’s US Viral 50 chart in a matter of days and he continues to blow up across the internet.
Who is Louie Vigorito?
Known as Louyah in the industry, this very humble artist first got attention after his friends surprised him by getting “I Used to Care” played on their local radio station. The friends planned it all to have Louie in the car with them while the song went live over the airwaves. Since its release, that video has gotten over 5 million views on TikTok and has put his music on everyone’s radar.
He first started making music as a teenager, starting off as a guitarist for a few local heavy metal bands, and most recently as a hip-hop influenced singer. As he got older, his brother convinced him to begin training his voice more and to begin experimenting with the hip-hop genre. After hearing several of his songs now, I gotta say there’s a very big resemblance in his style and singing to #PostMalone.
