Hi, I am going to give you a fantasy football outlook on all 32 teams. I will be doing this in alphabetical order. It will be 32 teams in the next 32 days. I will be giving a fantasy stud, fantasy bust, fantasy breakout player, fantasy sleeper, top fantasy rookie, and since some leagues do defensive players – instead of team defensive, I will be doing top fantasy defensive player. So let’s get this started. Please follow me on Twitter @aaron_truesdale.
There is a lot to like about the 49ers in fantasy football and it will all come down to their quarterback play this season. If all goes right, there are plenty of 49ers to consider picking up. So these are the players I came up with to look for and avoid.
Fantasy Stud: George Kittle TE
Kittle is one of the best fantasy tight ends and last year was just a fluke year of injuries for him. Look for Kittle to bounce back and return to former glory this year. He is a tight end 1 there is no doubt in that. Draft Kittle.
Fantasy Bust: Raheem Mostert RB
Mostert is a talented running back but he just can’t stay healthy and I think this season will be no different. Even if Mostert stays healthy, his job is in jeopardy with them drafting Sermon out of Ohio State.
Fantasy Sleeper: Trey Sermon RB
Trey Sermon is a guy to watch out for on the 49ers because once Mostert gets hurt, Sermon will step in, take the job from him, and never look back. Even without injury, you will see Sermon take over as the lead running back in San Francisco. He has great potential to be a running back one this season. Likely will be a high-end running back two.
Fantasy Breakout: Brandon Aiyuk WR
Aiyuk had a good season last year and I think he will have an even better season this year. If the quarterback play works out, he will be a wide receiver one. Even if the quarterback play isn’t there, he would still likely be a low-end wide receiver two.
Top Fantasy Rookie: Trey Lance QB
Now I believe Lance will get called into duty early because of an injury to Garoppolo or due to bad quarterback play by Garoppolo. Lance is going to be quarterback one by season’s end. He could be one of those secret fantasy weapons that helps lead you to win your fantasy football league.
Top Fantasy Defensive Players: Nick Bosa DL
All Bosa has to do is stay healthy. If he does, he will be a defensive fantasy football stud. He will dominate opponents’ offensive lines and wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks. Bosa is a high-risk high-reward player. I would take the risk because the reward by far outweighs the risk.
I hope you enjoy my Team Fantasy Outlooks. Please comment to let me know what you think I welcome the feedback. I also will be more than happy to discuss any player or team further.
