Fantasy Football Outlook: New York Giants

Hi, I am going to give you a fantasy football outlook on all 32 teams. I will be doing this in alphabetical order. It will be 32 teams in the next 32 days. I will be giving a fantasy stud, fantasy bust, fantasy breakout player, fantasy sleeper, top fantasy rookie, and since some leagues do defensive players – instead of team defensive, I will be doing top fantasy defensive player. So let’s get this started. Please follow me on Twitter @aaron_truesdale.

Fantasy Overview:

The Giants’ fantasy year relies on their quarterback play and the health of their running back. If this all goes according to plan, the Giants will have plenty of fantasy options this season. These are the players I came up with to look for and avoid.

Fantasy Stud: Saquon Barkley RB

RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) will not require surgery

This is Barkley’s year to prove himself and I believe he will stay healthy and have a great fantasy year. He will be one of the leading rushers and one of the leaders in receptions by running back this year.

Fantasy Bust: Evan Engram TE

Giants' Evan Engram named a fantasy tight end to avoid in 2021

Engram has always been overrated in fantasy football and this year will be no different. Some people will take the chance on him again, but don’t do it. If you do it, it will be an epic fail in fantasy again. Just don’t draft him. He is on my ‘do not draft’ list.

Fantasy Sleeper: Kyle Rudolph TE

New York Giants agree to terms with TE Kyle Rudolph

Rudolph will be a better fantasy option than Engram. He won’t rack up a lot of yards, but I believe he will score enough touchdowns to be fantasy-relevant. He will be a low-end tight-end two in fantasy football.

Fantasy Breakout: Daniel Jones QB

Daniel Jones shares this in common with three of the NFL's best QBs

Jones, with a healthy Barkley, will finally break through and be fantasy-relevant. This is his last chance to prove himself. With the weapons he has around him, he should not disappoint. He will be a quarterback two this fantasy football season.

Top Fantasy Rookie: Kadarius Toney WR

2021 NFL draft: New York Giants select Kadarius Toney in Round 1

Toney will be used as more of a gadget player and kick returner this season. He won’t be much of a fantasy option, but I believe in year two or three, he will be fantasy football relevant. He should be drafted in dynasty leagues but not in re-draft leagues.

Top Fantasy Defensive Player: Jabrill Peppers S

Jabrill Peppers - NYC

Peppers is another playmaking safety who will be all over the field and also be a ball hawk who will get points for punt returning. That alone will make him a valuable fantasy player this season.

I hope you enjoy my Team Fantasy Outlooks. Please comment to let me know what you think I welcome the feedback. I also will be more than happy to discuss any player or team further.
