Hi, I am going to give you a fantasy football outlook on all 32 teams. I will be doing this in alphabetical order. It will be 32 teams in the next 32 days. I will be giving a fantasy stud, fantasy bust, fantasy breakout player, fantasy sleeper, top fantasy rookie, and since some leagues do defensive players – instead of team defensive, I will be doing top fantasy defensive player. So let’s get this started. Please follow me on Twitter @aaron_truesdale.
There isn’t much I can say about the Texans in fantasy football this season. I can however say, that without Watson the Texans will have almost no fantasy impact this season. These are the players I came up with to look for and avoid.
Fantasy Stud: Brandin Cooks WR
Cooks has the best chance to be a fantasy stud on the Texans. He will probably be a wide receiver three at most this season.
Fantasy Bust: David Johnson RB
Johnson is a guy to put on your ‘do not draft’ list for two reasons. First, he hasn’t been too productive in fantasy football the last few seasons and second, because of how injury-prone he is. I think at best, he’ll be a low-end running back four this season.
Fantasy Sleeper: Keke Coutee WR
Coutee could be a wide receiver two potential if Watson was around, however, he’ll probably be a low-end wide receiver three at best. Without Watson, he’s just a high risk to draft. If Watson somehow ends up playing this season, which I doubt, Coutee will be a guy to take in the mid-round of fantasy football drafts.
Fantasy Breakout: Phillip Lindsay RB
Lindsay is the only Texan you can count on this season in fantasy. I believe he will finally get what he deserves this year in Houston and will put up some decent numbers. By season’s end he could be a low-end running back two.
Top Fantasy Rookie: Davis Mills QB
So with Watson in doubt, I look to Mills to be the starter for the Texans right out the gate. He will probably have no re-draft league value this season although he might in the next couple of seasons. In Dynasty leagues you should draft Mills and stash him for the future.
Top Fantasy Defensive Player: Desmond King II CB
I had to pick a guy on defense for the Texans since Watt is gone. So I went with King because he could get a few interceptions and force and recover fumbles, maybe even get a touchdown this year. He could be a sleeper in the later rounds in fantasy drafts but I believe there will be better options still available.
I hope you enjoy my Team Fantasy Outlooks. Please comment to let me know what you think I welcome the feedback. I also will be more than happy to discuss any player or team further.
