Kiersey Clemons played Iris West in Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League. Her part was removed completely from the theatrical cut of the film, directed by Joss Whedon, that would eventually be released. Clemons’ performance will be seen for the first time when Zack Snyder’s Justice League releases on HBO Max next week (March 18th).
Doubt had been cast on the fact that Clemons would return in the role, as WB is maintaining that they consider the theatrical cut of JL canon to the DCEU. But the Hollywood Reporter has now announced that Clemons has just signed a new deal to appear and star in The Flash film. This would suggest that WB might be more open to fitting ZSJL into their plan moving forward than we had initially thought.
‘The Flash’ film continues to fill with characters as we get closer to its release. Confirmed characters now include Ezra Miller as The Flash, Clemons as Iris West, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Michael Keaton as Batman, and Ben Affleck as Batman. This film is truly shaping up to be a packed film. The Flash is set to release on November 4th, 2022.
