After over three long years of director Zack Snyder and his fans campaigning for the release of the Snyder Cut of Justice League, it looks like it is finally nearing its release.
About an hour ago Zack Snyder made a series of three tweets announcing the official release date of Zack Snyder’s Justice League as March 18, 2021. So fans will not have to wait much longer to finally get their hands on this long awaited film.
The three tweets read out in order: Fallen, Risen, Reborn. These statements carry several different meanings within the Snyder Cut community. The first meaning related to the arc of Superman, who Falls in BvS, will finally Rise in Zack Snyder’s Justice League (ZSJL), and is rumored to be Reborn through Darkseid’s Anti-Life equation. The second meaning related to the Justice League within the film, who will Fall in the Knightmare timeline, before having to Rise and be Reborn with new members (Like the rumored Deathstroke). The final meaning is a bit more meta than the first two and it relates to Snyder’s journey to the release of this film. He was Fallen, when the Studio released the theatrical cut, he finally Rose with the announcement of the Snyder Cut, and was Reborn with the 4 hour long Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
In addition to the news of the release date, three separate poster designs have been unveiled with Zack’s tweets. All three designs seem to be pointing towards the Knightmare timeline that we first got a glimpse at in 2016’s Batman V. Superman. After nearly 5 years it looks like fans will finally officially get a continuation of the Knightmare timeline, as it seems like it is going to play a major role in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
