After yesterday’s article focusing on some of the transfers that will take place during the January transfer window, I had a lot of people ask for more. So I have found 5 more transfers that are likely to take place.
Number 5 – Brandon Williams to Newcastle (loan)
With the arrival of Alex Telles at Man United it has made Brandon Williams third choice at left back. The young Englishman has enjoyed some first team football at United during last season but finds himself out of the side this season.
But Steve Bruce is looking to strengthen at the back and with current full back Yedlin looking to move to Turkey in January, Williams would be great cover for the Magpies.
Although a fairly young and inexperienced wing back, Williams has shown that he is capable of causing some of the top players in the league a headache. Also his ability to track up and down the pitch is something that Newcastle lack, with current left-back Matt Richie playing out of position.
Number 4 – Michael Olise to Leicester City
A fairly new name to most fans of the Premier League, Michael Olise is a young 19 year French midfielder who plays for Reading.
Leicester City have said that no action will take place from themselves this transfer window but this deal is expected to take place. The agreement in place is for Olise to return to Reading on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old will not be signed to join the first team squad straight away and maybe loaned out again in the summer. But the talented French midfielder has attracted a lot of attention from other teams across the country. The Foxes may be onto a future Premier League star here.
Number 3 – Dele Alli to PSG
I think a lot of people will have guessed that this transfer will take place. PSG have just sacked their current manager and former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has taken charge.
Alli has become an outcast at Spurs under Jose Mourinho due to a lack of enthusiasm. Alli is a top-quality playmaker on his day but has struggled to carry a consistent playing style over the past few seasons.
However, Alli enjoyed his time under the Argentine which saw Spurs reach the Champions League final. A reunion is on the cards and possibly the best for all parties involved.
Number 2 – Divock Origi to Inter Milan
Inter Milan, like AC Milan have begun a resurgence this season challenging for the title which has been dominated by Juventus for the past few seasons. Their strike force that is fronted by former Man United player Lukaku and Laturo Martinez has been deadly to say the least.
Nevertheless, goals means attention. Martinez has been linked with a move to Barcelona for the past few windows and Inter are expected to cash in this summer. So they have lined up their replacement already.
Liverpool forward Origi is still only 25 and has been unable to nail down a starting role over Firmino, Salah or Mane. But the Belgian will look to find first team football away from Anfield. Inter look to be the front runners to secure his signature and would be good business for everyone involved.
Number 1 – Renato Sanchez to Liverpool
A man who is no stranger to the Premier League after his brief stint in the league with Swansea. But the Portuguese International has been reborn during his time with Lille in France.
The former Bayern Munich player looked likely to become an another failed wonder kid. The youngster failed to live up to the hype during his time in the Bundesliga but has shown why there was such a buzz around him.
Liverpool look likely to sign the Portuguese International as a replacement for want away midfielder Wijnaldum. Wijnaldum is wanting a new contract that Liverpool are not willing to agree to, which has sparked interest from Barcelona. A decent replacement in Wijnaldum if he decides to leave.
