Netflix USA | Coming Soon

I think we can all agree last year was brutal and Netflix helped us get through. Since Netflix likes to shuffle around what they have available to stream let us look at some of the highlights coming up.

January 1

Can’t Hardly Wait (1998)

This 90’s teen comedy features a bunch of people getting together for a post-graduation party and the wild times that unfold.  Think American Pie but with a killer soundtrack. Starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ethan Embry, Seth Green, and Jason Segel among many others you will recognize.

Enter the Dragon (1973)

This is Bruce Lee’s most well-known movie.  Lee plays a martial artist who is determined to get revenge on the drug dealer that murdered his sister.  To do this he enters a martial arts competition on an island to infiltrate the dealer’s base.  Starring Bruce Lee, John Saxon, Jim Kelly, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

Goodfellas (1990)

Goodfellas is the 1990 classic mob movie directed by Martin Scorsese and based on the book “Wiseguy” by Nicholas Pileggi.  It chronicles his growing up in the mob and ascending through its ranks, with all that it entails.  He eventually gets caught up in drugs and goes through the inevitable downfall.  Starring Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Paul Sorvino to name a few.  This movie is an all time classic with an amazing soundtrack.

Spring Breakers (2012)

Spring Breakers is a movie that really shows James Franco’s range as an actor.  Three girls, short of money for spring break, decide to rob a bank and head down to Florida.  Eventually the law catches up with them, leading them to be bailed out by an up-and-coming rapper named Alien (played by Franco).  The girls then join Alien in a life of crime.  Starring Selena Gomez, Gucci Mane, Jeff Jarrett, and James Franco among others

January 15

Hook (1991)

Hook is Steven Spielberg’s version of a Peter Pan story.  Peter Banning’s (Robin Williams) children are kidnapped by his former foe Captain Hook (Dustin Hoffman).  This forces Peter to return to his origins as Peter Pan and return to the Neverland he abandoned to grow up to rescue his children.  Starring Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams, and Julia Roberts among others.

January 22

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous (Season 2)

This is an animated series in the Jurassic Park Universe where six teens are invited to attend a state-of-the-art adventure camp on Isla Nublar and must band together to survive when the dinosaurs break out of captivity.  Starring Paul-Mikel Williams, Jenna Ortega, and Sean Giambrone, among others.
