NCAA Game Changes for Saturday

Roy Williams vs. John Calipari: Who Has the Better Resume?

COVID-19 has struck again everyone but this time it didn’t lead to any cancellations just a few schedule changes. Due to varying COVID-19 protocols among the four schools and their conferences, the matchups for Saturday’s CBS Sports Classic in Cleveland featuring North Carolina, Kentucky, UCLA and Ohio State have been changed.

The struggling Wildcats will now play No. 22 North Carolina with the game airing at 2 ET and the No. 20 Buckeyes will face the Bruins at 4:15 ET in the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Organizers said the change was to “more closely align COVID-19 testing protocols between the competing programs and their respective conferences.” The schools come from the ACC, SEC, Big Ten and Pac-12.

The original plan was for Kentucky to play UCLA and for North Carolina to play Ohio State. As a Kentucky fan it honestly doesn’t matter who we play right now as we haven’t shown any ability to beat anyone so far this season. This will be nonetheless a great afternoon of basketball featuring four schools that have combined for 26 national championships and 65 Final Four appearances.
